How To Play | Whimzy

Simple! Tap through cards, read prompts, and react until you run out.

We recommend placing your phone in the center of the table — cards are readable from both sides. Or pass it around!

When you start a game, Whimzy builds a custom deck based on your settings:

Rounds - Sets how many cards are in your deck
Penalty Names - Choose a preset or create your own (we'll handle the grammar!)
Player Names - Customize names and colors for each player (at least 2 required, minimum 2 characters each)
Shuffle vs. Category Mode - Mix all card types (Shuffle) or play with just one type (Category)
Couples Safe - Keeps the fun going without putting partners in uncomfortable situations
Co-worker Safe - Filters out prompts that could be too personal, gross, or awkward for work friends or family
Use Deck Settings - Respects your ON/OFF choices for individual decks. Turn off to play with all cards
Balanced Mentions - Ensures everyone gets called out fairly. Turn off to let chance pick on the unlucky ones!
Balanced Cards - Gives you a well-shuffled mix of card types so you won't see the same type back-to-back. Turn off for fully random shuffles (not available in Category Mode)

We recommend setting a custom penalty name that makes sense for the occasion, call them "sips," "points," or "consequences"... your game, your rules!

At least two players are required, add as many players as you need after that! There is no maximum.
